Question by tstar13: How does an rv storage lien sale work? Is it different than a car lien sale?
I am in California where everyone is selling their stuff, so I’m assuming there are lots of these. Also, I know DMV laws vary by state.

A lien sale is pretty-much a lien sale is a lien sale.
When an item is pledged as collateral against a debt, or a bailment exists in which an item is stored for which fees haven’t been paid; if the lien isn’t satisfied, while some states, counties, and municipalities have certain protocols that must be followed, the lien holder can generally dispose of the item as he sees fit.
Some will “rehab” items and try to sell them for profit, others will simply auction them off to the highest bidder. The best way to determine how an RV lien sale works near you would be to simply contact a local RV storage facility and ask.
Best of luck. I hope this helps.
